Mental Health Training for Juvenile Justice
(MHT-JJ)
Join our three-session virtual training for direct care juvenile justice staff and professionals, teaching effective interventions to support the youth in their care.
February 3-5, 2026
Want to learn how to effectively respond to the developmental and behavioral health challenges of youth involved in juvenile justice?
From probation intake to secure corrections, juvenile justice staff are responsible for the day-to-day care of our youth. Many of these youth experience challenging behavioral health conditions and/or traumatic stress. The stresses of juvenile justice involvement can exacerbate a youth’s condition, creating potentially dangerous situations for youth and juvenile justice staff.
Mental Health Training for Juvenile Justice (MHT-JJ) increases your knowledge of childhood trauma, adolescent development, and behavioral health. It helps you develop an understanding of how these issues may affect youth-staff interactions and enhances skills that can help keep these interactions effective and safe.
Join this training for three 3-hour sessions where you will:
Connect with others in your field
Learn from experts about the intersection of mental health and juvenile justice
Gather practical tools and take-home resources to incorporate into your work
